First of all you have to make standard board with switches.
Then in your front panel drill holes for these switches but important thing
is: the diameter of hole have to be at last 7mm! (up to 10mm) Now you have
to mount your board to front panel in such a way, that top of the buttons,
stick out above this front panel for about 0.5mm.
You need some kind of graphic software, which can help
you to paint/draw your very own buttons. When it's ready - you have to
print it on self-adhesive paper! Now you need self-adhesive foil (frosted,
0.2-0.4 thick). Stick it on the just printed buttons (print side of course).
The best effect is when you use frosted foil but if you can't find it shiny
would work fine.
Your keyboard is almost ready. Take very sharp wallpaper
knife, and cut your keyboard to dimensions you need.
Here comes important thing:
Unstuck protecting paper from your keyboard and now stick
in the places where your button heads will touch keyboard (glue side),
small circles (holes size or little bit bigger) made with standard foil
(any plastic bag or protecting paper you've just unstuck, would be great).
Yes that's all. There is nothing more to do than stick
your keyboard to front panel and close it tight!!!
Make sure on the end to adjust height of the every button
(remember, all of them have to be on the same level about 0.5mm above front
panel).
This is my result :-)
